Creating a website can be a daunting task, but with Bread it doesn't have to be. Engaging with us can help to simplify the process and ensure that your website is both visually appealing and functional.
We want to breakdown the process of engagement and give you an idea of what to expect…
1. What is the purpose of your website?
The first question we’re going to ask is what the purpose of your website is. Is it to sell products or services, to provide information, or to build a community? Knowing the purpose of your website will help us to determine the best approach for your website's design.
2. Who is your target audience?
The next question we’re asking is who your target audience is. Understanding your audience is crucial for us to understand as it enables us to create a design that resonates with them. Factors such as age, gender, location, and interests will all play a role in our design process.
3. What is your brand identity?
Your website should reflect your brand identity. We want to know everything about this, including your mission statement, values, and personality. This helps us to ensure that your website is consistent with your brand and helps to strengthen your overall identity (don’t have a brand identity yet, no problem, we can help with that too).
4. What are your website's features?
We need to know what features you want your website to have. Do you need a blog, a contact form, or e-commerce functionality? Knowing what features are required up front not only gives us an idea of what we need to factor in design wise, but also how each feature could affect the budget and delivery timeframe.
5. What is your budget and timeline?
It's important to discuss your budget and timeline up front. This will help to ensure that the design process stays on track and within budget and can also present the opportunity to suggest ways to reduce costs or to speed up the process if appropriate. We will discuss ongoing support and maintenance.
So, what comes next? Once we have a clear understanding of your website's scope and budget, we then begin to create a design. The duration of this process will always vary depending on the complexity of your site. Depending on the scope and budget, we often present a couple of design options. This is where you will have the opportunity to provide feedback and make revisions to the design. Once the design is finalised, we then begin to develop the website.
Once that’s done, we launch! We will ensure that the website is functioning properly and that all features are working as intended.
